Description

The PADI Boat Diver course is a specialty certification that teaches you how to dive safely and efficiently from different types of boats—a must-have if you plan on doing most of your dives from a boat (which is super common on dive vacations and in many coastal areas).

What’s Involved:

• 2 open water dives, usually done in one day.
• You’ll practice:
  • Backroll or giant stride entries
  • Inflatable or ladder exits
  • Stowing gear securely
  • Managing surface conditions like current or waves

Prerequisites:

• Must be a PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent).
• Minimum age: 10 years old

How Long Does It Take?

• Just 1 day if you’re already diving off a boat—it can be done during a regular dive trip.
