The PADI Fish Identification specialty course is perfect if you’ve ever surfaced from a dive asking, “What was that fish?” It helps you recognize and identify different types of reef fish by their shape, behavior, and habitat, making every dive more engaging and educational.

What You’ll Learn:

- Practice observation and recording techniques.
Course Structure:
- 2 open water dives, usually over one day.
- You’ll spend time observing fish in their natural environment, then review and ID them post-dive.
Prerequisites:
- PADI Open Water Diver (or Junior Open Water)
- Minimum age: 10 years old
Bonus:
This course pairs really well with Underwater Naturalist or Underwater Photography, especially if you love marine life and want to document or research your sightings.
